English language schools in Ireland

There are no end of English academies in Ireland so how do choose the best school?

Firstly, remember that Ireland is full of students learning English as a second language and many of them may be from your country. Whether you think so or not you will inevitabily be sucked into conversations in your native language. This means our first recommendation is to avoid Dublin. Dublin seems to have as many students learning English as there are native English speakers, especially in summer. This also means that Galway or Cork are the obvious second choice for your English schools in Ireland Both cities are wonderful locations but do not forget that the people of Cork have a strong accent and Galway is almmost as popular as Dublin with English language students.

Consider an intensive course with fewer English language students and therefore less likelihood of meeting someone of your nationality. Small classes also give you more opportunity to speak English in class rather than just noting down grammar explanations etc. What's more if you are shy, you will feel less inhibited about speaking English (and making mistakes) in front of a smaller group. Adult Education to Change Your Career Path

Alas, far too many people become set in their ways as they reach adulthood. Indeed, often their biggest regret may transpire to be that they did not concentrate more at school and pass as many qualifications as they would have liked. They thought they knew the exact career path they wanted to take, whilst sitting their A' levels, and in the cold light of day, they soon realised that they had made a big mistake.

If the very idea of trekking down to your nearest job centre to search for an entirely new career fills you with dread, there are ways of changing this in the future. You are never too old to think about undertaking home study courses that would prepare you for another career path entirely.

You may even think about undertaking courses through your local college of higher education or university and this would definitely provide you with an additional social outlet in your life. (more...)

Learn Another Language

In many countries students learn a second language as standard, whereas we seem to do things differently – and not for the better. If we learn a language it is often as part of our degree or further education and we study the language and little else - while it is interesting it does not equip us for the outside world except as a translator or interpreter.

There is a growing trend, however, to learn a second or even third language in conjunction with whatever we are studying for and this does help us in our career.

If we are into logistics, we never know when we might have to talk to International shipping removals germany and if we are in the business world we may need to communicate with people from China, Russia or other countries influential in business and commerce. (more...)

Europes English School

European theatre evolved from ancient Greek and roman theatre. In medieval times, theatre in Europe consisted of court performances. Themes usually included re-scripted legends. As religion pervaded the continent, themes reflected religious sentiments, but this also gave rise to a more vernacular community theatre.

Today, modern theatre in Europe is influenced by various political and social philosophies. Themes are varied. Experimental and sometimes controversial theatre that challenges the political and social status quo still remains on the fringes and mainstream theatre reflects politically correct themes, just as is the case with cinema.

All of Europe has a rich history and tradition of theatre. A friend of mine recently went on a trip across Europe, and explored theatre in different countries. She wanted to find english language schools in england malta and ireland to study theatre, which she did. (more...)
